THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES ARE REQUIRED WHEN
SUBMITTING PLANS TO THE GOWRIE FARM
BUILDING COMMITTEE

Houses at Gowrie Farm are to be built in accordance
with the Building Code.

Gowrie Farm Building Committee meetings for 2010 are scheduled for:

Jan - Monday 18th	May - Friday 7th / Monday 17th	Sept - Friday 3rd / Monday 20th
Feb - Friday 5th / Monday 15th	June - Friday 4th / Monday 21st	Oct - Friday 1st / Monday 18th
March - Friday 5th / Monday 15th	July - Friday 2nd / Monday 19th	Nov - Friday 5th / Monday 15th
April - Friday 9th / Monday 19th	Aug - Friday 6th / Monday 16th	Dec - Friday 3rd / Monday 13th

These meetings are held at the offices of Venn Nemeth and Hart, 281 Pietermaritz Street, Pietermaritzburg. Plans must be submitted in triplicate to the offices of Venn Nemeth and Hart by 12:00pm on the day before the meeting.

Submission fees:

A submission fee of R3 300,00 is to be paid to the Building Committee prior to the date of the meeting. This payment covers the first two submissions. Every successive submission requires a further submission fee of R850,00. (These fees are subject to change from time to time at the discretion of the Building Committee). Payment may be made by cheque to Venn Nemeth and Hart, or done electronically into the following bank account:

Please note that if the above reference is not clearly quoted,
it will not be possible for your payment to be correctly allocated.

Please fax through a copy of your deposit slip to Sue Mitchell on 033-3941947.

No submission will be considered by the Gowrie Farm Building Committee unless the full submission fee has been received.

Submissions must include the following:

-   floor layouts
-   all elevations
-   site plans 1:200

The initial submission, while being uncluttered with unnecessary detail is still to clearly illustrate the overall intent.

Colour plans are not required by the Gowrie Farm Building Committee.

Full details of the septic tank, including the placement of the septic tank are required to be provided in the final drawings. Septic tanks are to be calcamite tanks of no less than 1 500 litres, which are rated for a "0 - 6 person household".

Once your submission has been stamped and approved by the Gowrie Farm Building Committee, the following will be required by the uMngeni Municipality:

Four further copies of your final plan in colour.

A submission fee is also due to the Municipality. This will be calculated on the floor area of the building. To obtain the amount of their fee for your property, you may contact their offices on 033-2398315/40/52.

A copy of the approved plan, duly stamped and approved by the Gowrie Farm Building Committee, together with a letter from the Gowrie Farm Building Committee confirming the approval. (This will be handed to you on final approval).
