Gowrie Farm Golf Club - AGM
The AGM  for Gowrie Farm golf club will take place on Wednesday 3rd March at 18h00. We have scheduled golf for that afternoon so that members can participate in the golf and then attend the AGM and cocktail party.Please put your name down with myself or John if you are interested in playing. A formal notice regarding the AGM will follow. 

Friendship Cup - Date Amendment
Please could you all amend your diaries with the new dates for the Friendship Cup and Summer Ball.This event will now take place from the 28th April to the 1st of May. We encourage you to start making arrangements for this event early as each member has to play with a friend (a non member). Two rounds of golf have to be played over two days, one round will be played at Bosch Hoek and one round at Gowrie Farm and the purpose of the event is to introduce friends to golf in the Midlands. The formal ball is scheduled for Saturday the 1st May and tickets are available through me.

Old Mutual International Pairs Competition
The Old Mutual International Pairs Competition is being held on the first day of the Friendship Cup on the 28th April. Those of you who are interested in playing in this competiton must please let me know.

Payment method of members' subs
We have had a number of complaints regarding the transaction fee that is charged when paying your members subs with a credit card. As a result we have decided to no longer take credit card payments in the proshop. All members subs need to be paid by electronic transfer  into the bank account details provided on the invoice. 

Reciprocity with Prince's Grant
Prince's Grant is offering all our members a reciprocity arrangement of R140.00pp per round save in the December period when we will pay R300.00pp. We have also been given 10 free rounds which are available to the first ten Gowrie members to play there. No  more that two people in any one 4 ball can make use of this offer. Please make sure that you show your membership card at Prince's Grant when enquiring about these offers.

Nottingham Road Marathon
There is a marathon taking place around Nottingham Road and Gowrie Farm on the 28th March 2010. Please could all our members and homeowoners take note of this date as there will be more traffic than usual  around Gowrie Farm on that day.The golf course and clubhouse facilities will remain open.

Chairman's letter - National Golf Network
Due to a mix-up with the National Golf Network (NGN), the invoices for 2009 and 2010 have only now been received. Those members who were handicapped at Gowrie Farm at the end of 2008 will be required to pay R93.03 inclusive of VAT for 2009, while those members presently handicapped at Gowrie Farm will have to pay R100 inclusive of VAT for 2010. We will be sending an invoice to each member and, in the case of homeowner members, the amount due will be added to your levy accounts. Please note that this is payable in respect of each golfer who has an official handicap. Kindly let us have payment by the end of February 2010.
