At the outset I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the Golf members, Homeowners and their families all the best for 2023, may the Gowrie Community be truly blessed.
The Festive season, as is always the case, presented us with many opportunities to showcase the beauty of Gowrie to all our guests. I must say the Course is looking amazing, given the quantum of rain we have received over the past couple of months. Well done to the ground staff, on an amazing job.
The Golf course itself is playing “very long” particular for us “ballies” as my kids call me, and the new holes are really taking off. Talking of “ballies” Mzaans , continues to go from strength to strength ably co-ordinated by George and Gary . I am sure they will elaborate.
As the incoming Captain I was “handed” a club, that I believe in great is shape but as with anything I am sure there is room for improvement, so if have any suggestions please feel free to contact me to discuss,
In closing to Phil and Jo, in my opinion you are doing a great job and we really appreciate the value you have added to Gowrie and the club since your arrival. (As aside Phil taught me to play some 37 odd years ago when he was the “Germiston Bomber”, he could hit the ball miles with old technology)
