July has certainly shown us some cool temps this winter! Despite this, our ladies have been out and about in full force!
Phil’s free clinics!
On the 4th of July, Phil hosted a free golf clinic for the Ladies who thoroughly enjoyed this, and especially the coffee, scones and pancakes supplied by Joani. Due to the large turnout of ladies, we have split the lessons. The 8h30-9h30 slot will be for lady members with a handicap, and the 9h30-10h30 slot will be for non-handicap lady members and all guests. Please be sure to RSVP to Phil. Free snacks and coffee will be served. A short fun comp to follow the lessons. Details to follow!

Estcourt Open Day
16 Gowrie Ladies braved the freezing cold weather to support Estcourt’s Ladies Open Day on the 20th of July. Thank you to all of you for the brave show of support to our neighbors and to Deidre for organizing us – it’s a bit like herding cats! Well done to Kath, Daryl, Sue and Pat on third place! We’re not discussing the winners of the bags of stones….ha ha!
Ladies League
Our League Team certainly showed us how it’s done, with a narrow loss against Victoria Country Club A this month played at Howick Golf Club. 74 points to VCC A and 70 points to Gowrie. We are so proud of our Ladies. Our next league match is on the 16th of August at Boschhoek. A big thank you to Phil for his patience and the extra lessons offered to the League Team. Baie Dankie Wilna.
