Midlands winter weather has set in properly, impacting numbers for Tuesday golf. Thanks to Phil for accommodating slightly later morning tee-off times nonetheless, the second Tuesday in July (trophy day) had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. The event was rescheduled and Nick Simpson (Symmo), fresh from his ‘ace’ at Howick the week before, maintained form to win our coveted monthly trophy in style with 29 individual points. For the rest, tough putting conditions and really cold weather has seen only the dedicated out for morning golf.
