Numzaans’ Report November 2022

The year has come and gone quickly for our Tuesday school at Gowrie GC. We have lost two Numzaans this year, John Page and Peter Beart. Our group are poorer for their loss. Deepest sympathy to their families.

Our numbers for this year are less than the previous. More folk travelling now that the restrictions of the pandemic are behind us, and family commitments become a reality once more. Nonetheless, 2023 will be a good year for golf, with the culmination of an 18-hole golf course, if all goes according to plan.

The calendar for next year is getting busy and we hope to have a tour or two away for the boys during the year, detail to follow.

A special thank you to all our Numzaans who have supported our weekly school. Good or poor weather, the lads have been keen to play. A huge thank you to our professional team, Phil, Joani, Chris and Eve for all their support this past year. To Jub, Moses and course staff for a great course on which to enjoy our golf, well done! Sue, Ever and the catering staff at the clubhouse thank you for going the extra mile every time we play. To Phil Roberts, our outgoing captain, thank you for your support and guidance. To Anthony Barnard, one of our own, congratulations on his election to club captain of Gowrie golf, we look forward to working with him in the coming year.

We conclude this year’s golf with our annual Xmas luncheon at the clubhouse at 11 am on Sunday 11th December with our partners.
