Gowrie Farm Ladies Golf Festival 2024

Gowrie Ladies Golf hosted our Mamma Mia Ladies’ Golf Festival at Gowrie Farm Golf Club in September this year. The event was a huge success, much fun and laughter abounded. The donkey, aptly named Athena, was certainly the main attraction. I’m pleased to say that she made it home in one piece!

A big thank you to all the staff at the lodge and pro shop who went the extra mile to ensure a successful event. We were complimented on the delicious food and the wonderful service from the staff.

A special thank you to all the Gowrie Ladies! An event like this is only as successful as the team behind it. We have a phenomenal bunch of ladies and we love to have visitors join our Ladies Golf Days.

Thank you again to all those who participated in the event. We so appreciate your support and your friendship! It can’t be better said than by Gary Player: “In golf as in life, it’s the friends that we make along the way that make the journey worthwhile.”

WELCOME EVENING & CATERING

This year our festival kicked off with a Welcome Evening hosted by the legendary Nottingham Road hotel, who generously sponsored pizza and champagne for the Ladies.

We were most fortunate to miss the snow and enjoy the new 18-hole course showcased on two beautiful Midlands sunny days. It certainly was a challenge, but the Ladies were quickly cheered up once they arrived back at the Lodge to find Daddy Pig cooking up some delicious lamb sausages and a sponsored Gin bar compliments of neighbours Rawdon’s Brewery! Just Cheese showcased the reason why they are a firm favourite. Carter’s Distillery showed us that Rum makes a fabulous cocktail and we also enjoyed the Whisky from Truman & Orange.

Much fun was had at the hole-in-one competition hosted by Finningley Insurance Brokers. Sadly, no one won the competition this year! Thank you guys for your continued involvement in our Festival!

RAFFLE
