March – May 2026 Golf Highlights & Results

March to May brought a busy and memorable period at Gowrie Farm, with fantastic tournaments, major events, visiting golfing legends and plenty of great competition across the club.

Ladies League Tournament

Well done to the Gowrie Farm Ladies League team on a convincing opening win of the season.

Gowrie Farm finished on 54 points, ahead of VCC A on 42 and VCC B on 40 points.

SA Nomads U15 — The Future of South African Golf

We were proud to host the SA Nomads U15 tournament at Gowrie Farm, and the standard of golf on display was exceptional throughout the field.

After a thrilling finish, Ayden Combrink held his nerve to secure a well-deserved victory. The course provided a fair and enjoyable test for all competitors, and it was fantastic to see the next generation of South African golf competing here in the Midlands.

Hosting events like this remains something we value deeply at Gowrie Farm, and we look forward to welcoming many of these young players back in the years ahead.

Special Guests at Gowrie Farm

It was a pleasure to welcome Jacques Kallis, Mark Boucher and Pat Symcox to Gowrie Farm.

Grand Slam Trophy Masters — Our First Major

This year saw the launch of our brand-new Grand Slam Trophy series — a fresh competition format bringing the excitement of major championship golf to Gowrie Farm.

Players were virtually paired with professionals competing in the majors and played off those championship scorecards, creating a unique and highly enjoyable competition experience. The response to the first event has been fantastic, and we look forward to seeing the series continue throughout the year.

Young Tom Morris Jug 2026 — A Tradition Honoured

One of Gowrie Farm’s most cherished traditions returned in spectacular fashion this year, with tight competition, great camaraderie and classic Midlands conditions throughout.

Congratulations to the Goat Trackers on their back-to-back victory with an impressive 25.5 points. Well played also to the Sucky Grass Boys and the Filthy Foursomes for pushing hard throughout the competition.

Thank you to every team that took part in another memorable edition of the Young Tom Morris Jug.

Love Notties Golf Classic — 22 & 23 May 2026

The Love Notties Golf Classic once again proved to be one of the standout events on the Gowrie Farm calendar.

Golfers from near and far joined us for two memorable days of Betterball competition, camaraderie and fundraising. As our biggest fundraiser of the year, the event continues to highlight the incredible support and community spirit surrounding Gowrie Farm.

Thank you to everyone who played, supported and contributed towards another hugely successful event.
