Midlands Open

The Midlands Open brought a touch of Scotland to the Midlands — windswept, testing and true to the game.
Congratulations to Rees Emanuel, 2025 Midlands Open Champion, who produced superb rounds of 74 and 75 to finish seven shots clear.

Vodacom Origins of Golf

The Vodacom Origins of Golf Series brought Sunshine Tour and Sunshine Ladies Tour professionals to the Midlands. For the first time in four decades, a Sunshine Tour event was played on a course less than two years old — and Gowrie Farm was proud to provide the stage.

Interclub & Member Competition

Numzaans vs Kehles – Numzaans secured a strong victory, finishing 10 points clear.

Queens vs Numzaans – Queens edged ahead in a closely contested match, winning by 6 points.

Ladies & Junior Golf

Umdoni Ladies Open

A huge congratulations to the Gowrie Farm Ladies, who claimed victory at the Umdoni Ladies Open. Well done to Missy, Dee, Patti, Leigh and the entire ladies section.

2025 Young Tom Morris Junior Club Championship

Eighteen juniors competed in a tightly contested championship that went to a playoff on the 18th hole.
Jordan Davies secured the title with a birdie, edging Matt Carolan, both finishing on 78.

Club & Staff Events

Staff Championships

Our annual Staff Championships brought together the Pro Shop, Restaurant and Golf Course teams for 18 holes of friendly competition. A shoot-out on the 18th decided the outcome, where Tshepo placed his 100m approach to within six feet to claim victory. Vukani finished second and Brandon third.

Representative Achievements

Paula Beddow — SA Mid-Am & Senior Championships

Congratulations to Paula Beddow, winner of the Silver Division overall and Silver Division Seniors at the SA Mid-Am & Senior Championships.

Vodacom Origins of Golf | National Pro-Am Final

Well done to Colin Hardie, who finished 3rd nationally at the Vodacom Origins of Golf National Pro-Am Final. After winning the Pro-Am at Gowrie Farm in September, Colin flew the flag proudly at Pezula.

Christmas Hoolie

Weather conditions saw play reduced to nine holes, without dampening the spirit of a memorable Christmas Hoolie.
