Nick Smythe Appointed Assistant Professional

Gowrie Farm Golf Club is pleased to welcome Nick Smythe to the team as Assistant Professional from mid-March 2026. Nick brings a strong blend of leadership, organisational expertise and people-focused skills, underpinned by a diverse professional background and a genuine passion for development and service.

Having attended Michaelhouse, Nick is familiar with the Midlands and Gowrie Farm. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development and the Environment from Stellenbosch University and has completed his Level 2 Professional Teaching qualification in Asia. Nick has held senior leadership and management roles within international education and operations environments in Vietnam, demonstrating exceptional communication, team management and administrative capability.

Known for his professionalism, integrity and natural ability to engage with people, Nick will be a valuable addition to the pro shop, golf operations and overall golf experience at Gowrie Farm, and we look forward to his contribution to the continued growth of the club.
